Oh my goodness, John will be greatly missed. As an NA Executive Producer myself (2x) I am broken hearted! I pray JD's family, friends, and entire NA family will seek comfort in the Good News of our Lord Jesus. Seek and you will find Hope!
I am so sad for Adam, Mimi and the NA family but overjoyed at the birth of Adam's granddaughter. Looking forward to listening and praying. Thanks for such a detialed newsletter! Also a HUUUGE Theo of Golden fan...if you haven't listened or read it, I highly highly recommend it!!!

God never wastes a hurt.
Our times of suffering through death of our family and friends is all in God's control. His timing and purpose is for His Glory. We just need to trust God.
I can't speak to the JCD aspect yet, lots of untangling to do with this one in my heart and head with my Pillar of Fire and Cloud by Day. I pray that The Comforter be with all of us that are left here missing our old friend.
I can speak to Allen Levi, the author of Theo of Golden. As a young man I was involved in a community crisis pregnancy ministry, I was part of the youth abstinence education outreach. We would go in to schools in our area and listen, never judge, and share that there is a path that offers the least consequences for all involved. As part of this beautiful ministry, we had a retreat around '95-'96 and there was this tall skinny southern man who came and sang songs to us about his dog Tyler. If you research his music, you'll see the album Talking with Tyler was out at the time. He spoke to us of the hurt in worldly selfish relationships and the wholeness of walking with Jesus. His style was very mellow, and I found him to be endearing even as a man under 20. Over the following 30 years I have often gone back to his music, the times and interactions with this little-known singer and thanked God for a chance to meet him. I've kept up with his career through his site and mourned the eventual passing of Tyler with him. Songs like "She's Made for You" are great ways to see the tongue in cheek smooth southern humor at the center of his personality.
Having met Allen, I could feel the call on his life, and I am very grateful to have been led in worship by a man who gives it all to Jesus. I haven't read his book but look forward to re-acquainting myself with his voice in a new way after all these decades. I look forward to deconstructing this book with you both in the future if that is what God has for this show.
I pray for you both and your wonderful families often and love having conversations with you both, even though you can't hear my side.

Haha... I think I was referring to someone else with the ready, fire, aim statement. But I will cop to having done that much more often in my early ministry days. Blessings!
My heart aches today for the loss of JCD and the ripple effect it is having across his family, friends, and No Agenda nation. But it has brought me here this morning, hearing this podcast for the first time, in the midst of my opening back up to studying the Bible and talking with God.
This blessing from Kate Bolwer in "Have a Beautiful, Terrible Day" stood out to me today; maybe someone else needs to read it too. "Blessed are we, trying to manage the unmanageable, the fact that this is the final parting. No, this is the second last parting. But we will see them again. You promised. One has gone down a path we cannot see. And we must stand and mourn at a distance."
