Adam, I’m with-you in what you referred to as your “transition” (a conscious move away from a comfortable established identity that you’re so proud of that it starts to border on being kind of an idol.) I lived that out about 7 years ago in my own life. Too long of a story to share here. Just wanted to tell you that I think I understand exactly what you’re talking about. Now to set the record straight. Jodie White and I are NOT married. She is happily married to Ray (an extraordinary model of all-around self-reliant outdoorsmanship and mobile equipment knowledge. I on the other hand, am uncompromisingly devoted to Angie (my smoking hot wife of 32 memory-filled years of bliss…and we never had a fight 😉). Jodie and I have simply worked together for various manufacturing companies for a REALLY long time. Though some have referred to Jodie as my “work wife,” think Jodie and Ray agreed recently that they preferred to think of me as “Jodie’s work girlfriend!” 😜
How do I send a one-time v4v donation? -upgrading to $50 a month is beyond by Substack budget, but I would love to send a donation from time to time to let you both know I value these weekly discipleship conversations. Grace and peace to both your households. -Jeff

If all these other non-profits and religious organizations can do it... why not We Get To Do This? It's not blasphemy... it's tax law.

The only religious podcast worth listening to, and its not even my religion! I hope you can get V4V set up. This subscription stuff is for the birds. Odd how your and Pastor spoke about problem subscriptions, in the podcast, but you advocate them through the Podcast/ SubStack. V4V is the way to go.

Great show, I donated with a sub but couldn’t find how to send a note. I wanted to agree with Adam that a change was coming I was feeling it for him as well in the later NA episodes I could feel the change brewing. I had no idea God was going to make it so suddenly and definitively, “Thy kingdom come they will be done on earth as it is in heaven “ I am very saddened by JCD’s passing as I feel like I knew him since I was a kid reading his articles and followed him all the way to NA. I know that WGTDT is going to be huge (I have listened to every episode) and am proud to support it. I look forward to continuing to grow in Christ with you both as we continue our walks and honestly talk about how the struggle is real, but with the Holy Spirit we can carry on. A few years ago when I took that course at my church as a new believer I heard Adam either on NA or C&TK talk about your sermon that week & I went and watched it. You gave the definition of Biblical hope: confident & in joyful expectance of the desired good. Had ty write that one down. Just a nice little part of how I was drinking from the spiritual firehose during that season.
I struggled with the discussion you both had at the end about Dr. Fauci and also the frustrations of so many hearings on other wrongs that has occurred and nothing happens. As a Christian we must forgive him and others. But what about wanting accountability and justice as well?
