All passages New Living Translation. Scripture quotations are taken from the Holy Bible, New Living Translation, copyright 1996, 2004, 2015 by Tyndale House Foundation.

Ecclesiastes 3:1

The Daily Grind - The Winds of Change. Every season has a beginning, a middle and an end.

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.”

1 Chronicles 12:32

The sons of Issachar - discern the season you are in.

“From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.”

John 3:8

The wind blows wherever it wants - discern the movement of the Spirit, not just your circumstances.

“The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.””

Romans 8:14

Respond to the new season - step where He steps.

“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.”

Genesis 9:6

Tony Perkins - capital punishment affirms the sanctity of human life; it should not become a spectacle.

“If anyone takes a human life, that person’s life will also be taken by human hands. For God made human beings in his own image.”

Esther 4:14

Gwen and Annette’s letter - born for a time such as this.

“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?””

Romans 5:1-2 and Ephesians 2:8

Luther and the Wittenberg door - saved by faith, not by works.

“Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.”

“Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.”

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.”

John 10:14

Michael Mason’s $10.14 - the good shepherd.

““I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me,”

Proverbs 18:21

The Daily Grind - The Weight of Every Word. Speak life.

Scripture in this episode

All passages New Living Translation. Scripture quotations are taken from the Holy Bible, New Living Translation, copyright 1996, 2004, 2015 by Tyndale House Foundation.

Revelation 13:16-17

Bill’s letter - are the data centers the groundwork for the beast system?

“He required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead.”

“And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.”

Genesis 9:6

The sanctity of human life - capital punishment is grounded in the image of God, not in vengeance.

“If anyone takes a human life, that person’s life will also be taken by human hands. For God made human beings in his own image.”

Romans 12:19

Personal vengeance is forbidden.

“Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say,“I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the LORD.”

Romans 13:4

Civil justice is authorized - the authorities do not bear the sword in vain.

“The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong.”

Acts 25:11

Paul did not argue that the death penalty was wrong - only that he was innocent.

“If I have done something worthy of death, I don’t refuse to die. But if I am innocent, no one has a right to turn me over to these men to kill me. I appeal to Caesar!””

2 Corinthians 10:5

The first R - recognize the lie and take every thought captive.

“We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.”

John 8:44

The father of lies.

“For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

Galatians 5:22-23

Test every thought by its fruit.

“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,”

“gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!”

1 Corinthians 2:16 and 2 Timothy 1:7

I have the mind of Christ - not a spirit of fear.

“For,“Who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.”

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”

Colossians 1:22 and Ephesians 2:6

The third R - replace the lie with what God says about you.

“Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.”

“For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.”

James 4:7 and Ephesians 6:13

The fourth R - resist when the lie returns, and stand.

“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

“Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.”

Matthew 5:13-14

Salt and light - where Christian values are lived out, society thrives.

““You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.”

““You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.”

Matthew 9:37-38 and Isaiah 6:8

The Daily Grind - the harvest is plentiful; here I am, send me.

“He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few.”

“So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.””

“Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.””

Scripture in this episode

All passages New Living Translation.

Matthew 6:24

They Live - put on the glasses and the money says “This Is Your God.”

““No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Ecclesiastes 3:4

A wedding and a funeral in the same week, and a biblical worldview sees both as celebrations.

“A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.”

Isaiah 64:6

“Doesn’t that just mean being a good person?”

“We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.”

Romans 3:23

Good’s not good enough.

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”

Revelation 22:20

Maranatha - either way, it’s a win-win.

“He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!”

Matthew 24:36

Even the Son does not know the day or the hour.

““However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.”

1 Thessalonians 5:2

Like a thief in the night - which is why the predictions keep failing.

“For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.”

Jude 1:3-4

Contend - the NLT says defend, and verse 4 says the danger wormed its way inside the church.

“Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people.”

“I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.”

1 John 2:18, 22

Not one antichrist - many, and it was already the last hour 2,000 years ago.

“Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know that the last hour has come.”

“And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist.”

2 Timothy 1:7

We have not been given a spirit of fear.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”

Revelation 12:17

John Eldredge - you live in a love story set in a world at war.

“And the dragon was angry at the woman and declared war against the rest of her children—all who keep God’s commandments and maintain their testimony for Jesus.”

Matthew 7:16 and Galatians 5:22-23

The fruit test for every agreement you make.

“You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?”

“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,”

“gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!”

1 Peter 2:25

The Shepherd and Guardian of your soul.

“Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.”

Colossians 1:22, Deuteronomy 28:6 and 28:13, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 8:31

Replace the lie with what God says - the third of the Four R’s: recognize, renounce, replace, resist.

“Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.”

“Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed.”

“If you listen to these commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.”

“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”

“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?”

James 4:7

The fourth R - resist.

“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

2 Corinthians 10:3-6

Take every thought captive.

“We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do.”

“We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.”

“We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.”

“And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient.”

Colossians 4:2

The Daily Grind - ask someone if you can pray for them.

“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.”

Scripture in this episode

All passages New Living Translation.

James 1:19-20

The Daily Grind - Don’t Take the Rage Bait. One mouth, two ears, do the math.

“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.”

“Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.”

2 Kings 10:29

The verdict on Jehu - the half of the paradigm that cuts both ways.

“He did not, however, destroy the gold calves at Bethel and Dan, with which Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to sin.”

1 Kings 16:30-31

Ahab and Jezebel, the casting the book begins with.

“But Ahab son of Omri did what was evil in the LORD’s sight, even more than any of the kings before him.”

“And as though it were not enough to follow the example of Jeroboam, he married Jezebel, the daughter of King Ethbaal of the Sidonians, and he began to bow down in worship of Baal.”

Proverbs 21:1

Even a wicked king is a pawn on the board.

“The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the LORD; he guides it wherever he pleases.”

Proverbs 28:1

Why the sinner is not part of the equation.

“The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.”

Matthew 26:39

Gethsemane - the tension between free will and the sovereignty of God, in one sentence.

“He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, ‘My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.’”

John 8:32

The enemy leverages biblical illiteracy. If you do not know the truth, it cannot make you free.

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Colossians 3:2

From Michael McWilliams’ note, read on air.

“Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.”

Philippians 4:6-7

From Bart Offringa’s note - the passage he was memorising that same week.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

Scripture in this episode

All passages New Living Translation.

Psalm 16:8

The Daily Grind - Unshakable Peace. Steady makes you ready.

“I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.”

Matthew 28:19-20

Our job has not changed, whatever the state of the world.

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”

“Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

John 8:44

Why the enemy does evil - he is a liar and the father of it.

“For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

Romans 10:9-10, 13

A heart’s cry, and you say it with your mouth.

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

“For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.”

“For ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.’”

Romans 6:4

What baptism pictures - buried with Christ, raised to walk in newness of life.

“For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.”

Matthew 18:20

It could be a coliseum, or aisle four at H-E-B. It’s called church.

“For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”

Pastor Jimmy has a boots on the ground report of evidence of an awakening and revival that is happening in our country and around the world.

And of course, they’ll talk about God, the world and other things.

Thank You for Your Time, Talent and Treasure

• “The Great Equalizer” - Jensen Huang says anybody can now program a computer in human language.

• H1B and the Dallas Housing Bust - Packing religious items to make the house sell.

Scripture in this episode

All passages New Living Translation.

Habakkuk 2:18-19

The idol that cannot speak - and the people who ask it to teach them anyway.

“What good is an idol carved by man, or a cast image that deceives you? How foolish to trust in your own creation - a god that can’t even talk!”

“What sorrow awaits you who say to wooden idols, ‘Wake up and save us!’ To speechless stone images you say, ‘Rise up and teach us!’ Can an idol tell you what to do? They may be overlaid with gold and silver, but they are lifeless inside.”

Psalm 115:4-8

The warning is not that the idol becomes like us. It is that we become like it.

“Their idols are merely things of silver and gold, shaped by human hands. They have mouths but cannot speak, and eyes but cannot see.”

“They have ears but cannot hear, and noses but cannot smell. They have hands but cannot feel, and feet but cannot walk, and throats but cannot make a sound.”

“And those who make idols are just like them, as are all who trust in them.”

Genesis 1:27

Personhood is granted, not performed.

“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

Genesis 2:7

Life is breathed, not built.

“Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”

John 15:26

Why you do not outsource discernment - the Spirit of truth is a person, not a process.

“But I will send you the Advocate - the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.”

James 4:7

From the Daily Grind - you were born again into a world at war, and you were equipped the day you said yes.

“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

➡️There’s a Christian music business controversy brewing.

➡️ Trump’s H1B Visa change and the impact on the Dallas housing market.

➡️ Iran and Operation Economic Outcast.

• Happy first anniversary - Episode 1 went out on September 3rd last year, which is also Adam’s birthday.

• Just staring at a baby - Cleo is 6 weeks old and Psalm 139 is right there.

• Faith comes by hearing - It starts with Him and ends with Him, and in the middle we get to participate. All it takes is a mustard seed.

• Awakening or revival? - Awakening is the fertile soil, revival is the rebirth. America is in a season of awakening.

• Irrational fear of data centers - There are 4,700 of them in America, and the same politicians now warning about them were handing out incentives 10 years ago.

• A perfect wedge - One word: midterms.

• What actually happened at Hugging Face - 10,000 agents, a poorly built test environment, and an API key somebody left out on the open internet.

• Know them by their fruit - The result of this stuff is never good fruit.

Scripture in this episode

All passages New Living Translation, except where it is read from another translation on air.

Psalm 139:13-18

Just stare at a baby for an hour. Adam meets his granddaughter, Cleo, in the Netherlands and cannot get past the intelligent design.

13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.

14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.

15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.

16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!

18 I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!

Jeremiah 29:13

The Christ-curious donation. Rockie Thomas sent $29.13 in honor of Jeremiah 29:13: “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”

13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

Philippians 4:4-7

Anxious for nothing. Pastor Jimmy on why he has no emotional capacity left over to be spun up, angry or afraid.

4 Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!

5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 4:2

“Before You See the Answer.” Pastor Jimmy’s Daily Grind focuses on those who are praying and do not know whether God is hearing them. No prayer, no power. No intercession, no impact. Spend time thanking God for the answer before you see it come to pass - that is called faith.

2 Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

Scripture in this episode

All passages New Living Translation, except where Jimmy reads the NIV on air.

Hebrews 10:23

“Firm in the Storm.” Jimmy’s Daily Grind, and the verse Adam went looking for when he had been in the storm.

23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

James 1:27

Where the conversation started. Adam brings the verse about orphans and widows, and Jimmy answers that in the first century this was a very different matter.

27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

Isaiah 8:11-17

The whole block, indented in Adam’s Bible. The Hebrew is kesher - conspiracy, treason, an unlawful alliance - and it described a real political plot: Ephraim in the north had allied with Syria against Judah in the south. God is not saying conspiracies never exist. He is telling Isaiah not to take the crowd’s fear as his own. Jimmy also reads verse 12 in the NIV 84: “Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy. Do not fear what they fear and do not dread it.”

11 The LORD has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said,

12 “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them.

13 Make the LORD of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble.

14 He will keep you safe. But to Israel and Judah he will be a stone that makes people stumble, a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.

15 Many will stumble and fall, never to rise again. They will be snared and captured.”

16 Preserve the teaching of God; entrust his instructions to those who follow me.

17 I will wait for the LORD, who has turned away from the descendants of Jacob. I will put my hope in him.

Hebrews 12:11

Obedience over impulse. The third V. Jimmy reads it in the NIV on air - “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, later on however it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace.”

11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.

1 Kings 19:11-12

Quit looking for epic. Jimmy’s answer to Paul Erskine, who wrote in to ask why he has never had the burning-bush moment other people describe.

11 “Go out and stand before me on the mountain,” the LORD told him. And as Elijah stood there, the LORD passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.

12 And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper.

Scripture in this episode

All passages New Living Translation.

Acts 17:22-28

Paul at Athens. Jimmy reads it at the top of the show and stops on the method: Paul observes before he speaks, uses their own altar as the doorway, and quotes their poets rather than his own scriptures.

22 So Paul, standing before the council, addressed them as follows: “Men of Athens, I notice that you are very religious in every way,

23 for as I was walking along I saw your many shrines. And one of your altars had this inscription on it: ‘To an Unknown God.’ This God, whom you worship without knowing, is the one I’m telling you about.

24 “He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples,

25 and human hands can’t serve his needs—for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need.

26 From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries.

27 “His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us.

28 For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’

Philippians 1:21

“Truth without compromise.” Jimmy’s Daily Grind, written the morning of the show - Paul on the cost of the mission. He notes that Paul goes on to say he would rather go and be with Christ, but stays for their sake.

21 For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.

Pastor Jimmy will share highlights from the TPUSA Faith conference in Santa Barbara.

Adam will bring receipts of practical ways to engage our neighbors of other faiths, the legislation that is being drafted to protect our cultural heritage and how these two approaches dovetail.

What does it mean to be angry, alarmed and concerned without picking up a pitchfork and torch? Pastor Jimmy has something to say.

Although Adam gripes about AI, he does have fun with it. Note the photo below.
